  1. In Missouri, you can register for both the withholding tax and the unemployment tax through the Department of Revenue’s online registration process.
You’ll receive your account numbers around two weeks after you register. Once you’ve received your account numbers, you’ll be able to register new employees, file wage reports, and submit unemployment taxes online. You can register with the City of Kansas City - Revenue Division online.
