Register your business in Utah in two easy steps:

  1. First, you’ll need to create an account with Utah's OneStop Business Registration System.
  2. Once you’ve created an account, you’ll be able to register with both the Utah State Tax Commission and the Utah Department of Workforce Services online.
You’ll receive a temporary account number immediately after registering online. You’ll receive your permanent Withholding Account Number within two weeks of registering. You’ll receive your Employer Registration Number (for unemployment taxes) immediately after you register online.Once you’ve received your Withholding Account Number and Employer Registration Number, you’ll be able to register new employees, file wage reports, and submit unemployment taxes online.
